World Honey Bee Day

Hay ​Bales & Tall Tales – September

Gingerbread House Workshops

Combine graham crackers, candy and icing to create a special holiday treat. The workshop lasts one hour and is designed for children and adults to create together. Reservations are required.

Youth Ninja Warrior Classes

Try out a full-scale American Ninja Warrior and Obstacle Course Race (OCR) training facility, through a variety of kids’ classes. Ages 6-13. Reservations suggested.

Homeschool Days

Learn plants that changed the world through the efforts of early explorers and creative inventors.

Arts & Minds

Attend classes that combine both movement (dance, yoga, fitness) and creative arts (art, drama, sensory play, creative writing).

The Write Hour

Experiment with different storytelling forms. Learn about the parts of a story, put together a collection of poems that tell a story, and write letters. Presented by Lighthouse Writers Workshop. Ages 8-11. Get a ticket at the children’s desk 30 minutes before the program.

Saturday Art Experience

Participate in exhibition-based art activities led by certified art instructors. Participants visit the current exhibition and then create a project from that experience. Reservations preferred.

Take your child to a 45-minute shoe tying class for children age 5 and up. Class includes movement activities, read aloud and shoe tying practice. Laces are included in cost.

Cookies and Canvas – Holiday Lights for Pee Wee

Preschoolers will create a colorful painting featuring twinkle holiday lights. Parent and/or caregiver must accompany the preschooler to the program. Create colorful and whimsical holiday themed paintings and enjoy cookies and punch. Age 3-5. $25 All supplies and goodies included.

Yoga for Kids

Join in a fun, encouraging beginner level yoga class for kids of all ages (toddlers too)! In this 30 minute session, kids will learn basic poses to create healthy energy, offer physical challenge and inspire your imagination. Parents are welcome to join too. Included with Museum admission.

Nite at the Rec

Enjoy an evening of swimming, sports, dancing, concessions, and more. Grades 3-6.

McNichols Mommy and Me Movement & Creative Art Class

Introduce your children to breathing, yoga, dance, and sensory play. For babies who are crawling through age 4. To register for the class, email info@artsandmindskids.com to confirm number of children you are bringing and which day.

Cookies and Canvas – Gingerbread House

FamilySong Music Class

Wed. 11:30 Through Nov. Enjoy a multicultural music and movement class, with upbeat songs in English and different languages, instruments, scarves and drumming. Each session comes with a CD and download card. Ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Drop-in not available, but you can register at anytime throughout the session.

Off the Cuff: Improvaganza for Teens

Learn about basic improv comedy skills and then venture into improvising sonnets and Shakespearean scenes. Culminates in an informal showing at 2:30pm. Open to students of all experience levels and abilities. Ages 12-18. Reservations required.

Club Spark: Spring Break

Registration is required. Join community-based day programs that build social skills, community safety skills, and support academic goals. Kids go to libraries, parks, bowling, and movies. Age 4-10, with some exceptions.

ArtSmart After School Class

Drop off your kids for creative art projects which explore a different art medium each week. Ages 6-14. Reservations required.

Kids Art Exploration

Drop off your kids to explore different art materials and work together with the guidance of an art therapist. Ages 4-13.

Music Together Demo Classes

Try out a research-based children’s music class featuring singing, movement, and instrument play. Ages newborn-5 with caregiver. Siblings welcome. Reservations required online. Classes are also available in Fort Collins, Windsor, Loveland, and Greeley.

Stroke and Dive Technique Clinic

Participate in a clinic to improve your swim skills. Includes a deck and pool safety class with group problem-solving challenges. Ages 6-12. Students must be able to swim comfortably in the deep end of the pool. Reservations required.

Try Scuba and Virtual Ocean Exploration

Participate in an introduction to scuba diving, starting with taking an immersive virtual reality dive to spark the imagination. After a comprehensive safety briefing, students learn the basics of scuba diving through games in the pool. Ages 8-12. Reservations required. Must be able to swim comfortably in the deep end of the pool.
