Run to the Shrine

Join this 4-mile race that winds through the Zoo with giraffe, elephants, and wallabies along the way. Participants make their way up about 1,000 feet in elevation to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. Race registration includes Zoo admission for the rest of the day, a commemorative performance T-shirt, and a post-event party at the Zoo’s Lodge at Moose Lake. All proceeds help feed and care for Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s animals. All ages welcome. Tethered jogging strollers welcome with proper safety equipment. Run to the Shrine registrants must reserve their entrance time online in advance. Zoo guests are required to wear masks inside all Zoo buildings.
