Free for Buck Recreation Center and History Colorado events; $68, $60 Tesoro members for The Fort dinner reservation.

Learn about the historic night of Nov. 27, 1833, when when thousands of meteors showered the sky of North America. The spectacular event was recorded in newspapers, artwork and Lakota winter counts. Tesoro Cultural Center’s Bethany Williams and Dr. Steve Lee describe and celebrate this natural phenomenon from scientific and cultural perspectives. Cheyenne winter counts, hide paintings, will be explained to demonstrate the Cheyenne culture and their beliefs. The lecture can be enjoyed for free at Buck Recreation Center or History Colorado – or over a four-course, prix fixe dinner at The Fort.
