Ironman 70.3 Boulder

Watch the swimmers participating in this year’s Ironman triathlon. Overflow parking lot available at 5075 Chaparral Ct., Boulder. Shuttle service available.

Glow ‘n the Dark Ninja Night!

Play glow-in-the-dark capture the flag, light-up stick battles, glowing clay pot jousting, a black-light obstacle course, light-up nunchucks, and glow-sword battles. There will be different time slots for ages 4-6. Cost is $30 and each participant will receive an LED light-up foam weapon to take home. Youth Ninja Warrior Classes

Try out a full-scale American Ninja Warrior and Obstacle Course Race (OCR) training facility, through a variety of kids’ classes. Ages 6-13. Reservations suggested.

Denver Nuggets Family Night

Family Swim Time

Splash, play and practice in the pool as a family. Instead of a lifeguard, a deck manager and certified swim teacher will be present to assist with drills and techniques. $5 per person; $15 per family up to five members. Open to current and former students and families. No reservations required.

Reel Rock 12

3 and 6pm. See five new short films from the world of climbing, filled with action, laughs, and inspiration. All ages. $19-$25.

Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships

Attend the longest-running snowboarding competition in the world in men’s and women’s slopestyle and halfpipe competitions. This will be the first major snowboard competition after the PeyongChang games. There will be live concerts each day, a Riglet park for kids ages 3-6, an Après All Day program, Broomball tournament, and athlete signings.

Spring Flag Football Preseason Camp

Attend this annual flag football camp and learn techniques and practice drills for offensive and defensive positions. All skill levels are welcome. Advance registration is required by Friday, March 2. Ages 4-14. Takes place at Shea Stadium within the park.

Yoga for Kids

Join in a 30-minute beginner level yoga class for kids in which you’ll learn basic poses, meet physical challenges, and use your imagination. Age 3 and up.

Stroke and Dive Technique Clinic

Participate in a clinic to improve your swim skills. Includes a deck and pool safety class with group problem-solving challenges. Ages 6-12. Students must be able to swim comfortably in the deep end of the pool. Reservations required.

Skate outdoors in Boulder on the plaza next to the Dushanbe Teahouse.

Harlem Globetrotters

See the famous team's ball-handling wizardry and basketball artistry. They'll showcase basketball's first 4-point line, located 30 feet from the basket, 6 feet and 3 inches beyond the top of the NBA's current 3-point line. Enjoy a pre-show event with a Magic Pass, purchased separately.

Open Gym

Drop in to use the gymnastics center on your own for unstructured activity. Parents must be with children for ages 2-5. No coaches or parents allowed in the gym for ages 6-18.

Co-Ed Basketball Tournaments

Sign up for a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on a BSVD no-school day. Grades 6-8. Limit four players per team.

Spring Skateboarding Lessons

Learn the basics of skateboarding through this special program called SkateStart Level 1. SkateStart boards will be available to use during class. Perfect for young beginners. Advance registration is required by Monday, March 5. Ages 4-12. Takes place at Redstone Skate Park within the park.

Adam’s Camp Hoops for Hope

Join Adam’s Camp campers with special needs plus local celebrities, former professional and collegiate athletes, and the providers from Partners in Pediatrics for a unique game of basketball. In addition to the game, there will be mascots from Colorado’s sports teams, face-painting, and a silent auction.

Kids Take Charge Night with The Mammoth

Watch The Mammoth return home to Pepsi Center to face off against the Saskatchewan Rush. January 13th's game theme is “Kids Take Charge." The Mammoth encourages parents to let their kids take them out to a game. In-game entertainment will be geared toward kids.

Colorado Select Girls Hockey Association Free Sessions

Oct. 14 and 21, 2:15-3:15pm. Attend free sessions to give girls ice hockey a try. A four-week development program follows the sessions for $75 which includes on-ice professional instructions. Equipment is available to use for free for the sessions. Ages 5-16. Registration required.

Adventure Golf & Raceway

Make it a day of play with an 18-hold miniature gold course, go-karts, bumper cars, a maze and ropes course.

The Pilgrimage Run

Make a direct and positive impact on the community by participating in the Pilgrimage Run. Proceeds from each year are given to a nominated family or person who is facing a hardship. $20-$25 adult, $15 children.

Harlem Globetrotters

Watch action-packed basketball artistry and ball handling skills. New this season: The Globetrotters debut their new 4-point line, 30 feet from the basket.

Beginning Archery

Learn proper archery technique, form, safety, and basic shooting skills in an indoor, controlled environment. Age 6 and up.

School’s Out Full Day Program

Enjoy a full day of activities at the recreation center on a BVSD no-school day. Bring a lunch, snack and drink. Ages 5-11. Reservations required.

BolderBoulder

Race, run, jog, or walk through the streets of Boulder, finishing in Folsom Field, for a Memorial Day Celebration. Reservations required.

Participate in an introduction to scuba diving, starting with taking an immersive virtual reality dive to spark the imagination. After a comprehensive safety briefing, students learn the basics of scuba diving through games in the pool. Ages 8-12. Reservations required. Must be able to swim comfortably in the deep end of the pool.

Eerie Erie

Join the annual Halloween themed 5K and 10K race, featuring the Goblin Run quarter mile with no age restrictions or registration, and a cash prize raffle. Light breakfast snacks, coffee, hot chocolate available. Proceeds benefit community youth. $30-$35. Reservations required.
