4 Gingerbread Decorating Workshops for Families

Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys

Every Saturday through December 23, Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys hosts gingerbread house workshops for the whole family. Kids and adults work together to make handmade gingerbread houses using graham crackers, candy, and icing. Workshops are one hour, and cost $8-$10 for child and adult participants, and $6 for supervising adults. Reservations are required. 1880 N. Gaylord St., Denver. 303-322-1053

My Make Studio

Kids can decorate gingerbread houses at My Make Studio throughout the month of December. The gingerbread houses, baked in-house from a decades-old family recipe, are ready for kids to decorate with icing, fondant, tools, and candy. Reservations for a 90-minute decorating session can be made online, on any available date and time. Prices start at $40 for one gingerbread house and decorator. 6460 E. Cook Street School of Culinary Arts

On December 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids can join in a festive gingerbread cookie decorating class at Cook Street. Gingerbread men are baked by the in-house pastry chef for kids to decorate with a wide selection of tools and ingredients. Tickets are $50 for one adult and one child to enjoy the two-hour class. Food Lab

Families can enjoy gingerbread house workshops at Food Lab in Boulder on December 16, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., and December 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. The two-hour long workshops feature prebaked gingerbread for kids and adults to construct and decorate together with a selection of gumdrops, candy, cereal, and more.
