5 Tasty Ways to Fill Your Hearts (and Bellies) This Valentine’s Day

Celebrate Valentine's Day by treating yourself, your partner, or your little Valentines with a heartfelt treat from one of these Denver spots.

Whether you’re looking for a creative way to say “I love you” or want to treat the kids to a special Valentine’s Day snack, there’s no shortage of Valentine-inspired treats this time of year. While there’s nothing wrong with picking up a few store-bought chocolates, cookies, or cupcakes (we’ve been there, too), we found a few other ways to spread the love. From savory to sweet, here are five places to grab a tasty, heartfelt treat for your loved ones this Valentine’s Day.

Voodoo Doughnut

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the popular doughnut shop is making two limited-edition doughnuts. Try the conversation heart doughnut (a heart-shaped doughnut filled with Bavarian cream and dipped in colored vanilla frosting topped with a sweet saying), or the Valentine’s sprinkle cake (a plain cake doughnut dipped in vanilla frosting and sprinkles). The tasty treats will be available from Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16. Two Denver locations: 1520 E. Colfax and 98 S. Broadway.
