6 Items to Bring to the Company Potluck

The holidays are here, and along with all of the holiday to-dos we have on our lists this year, we also have the office potluck. Whether your office comes together for Thanksgiving or Christmas, you know potluck means you need to bring something to the table, and not just metaphorically.

If you’re not the best cook, or if anything you bake turns into coal, we’ve got your back this holiday season. Here are six sweets and eats to bring to your next office party that require zero to very little “cooking.”

  1. Charcuterie Board

You cannot miss with an appetizer. They’re perfect to have to nibble on as you bounce from one conversation to the next, and they’re a great conversation starter if you ever run out of things to say. Best of all, they don’t require you to cook anything. All you will need is a board and all of your favorite cured meats, cheeses, crackers, bread, veggies, and fruit. Get creative with your food display on the board, or change your board up completely and pick a theme. Not a fan of the usual cheese and meat routine? Create a board full of sweets featuring peppermints, chocolates, cookies, and M&M’s.

  1. Cream Cheese Spread

Another great appetizer that everyone will love is a combo of cream cheese and pepper jelly. This savory sweet spread is best served with crackers. If you’re wanting to lean in on the sweet side, trade out the pepper jelly for strawberry preserves. This snack is easy to put together, and it won’t cost you a lot of time and money either.

  1. Fruit & Fruit Dip

Cream cheese is very versatile. It can be used with meats and sweets, and it’s perfect to use in this fruit dip. For this easy-to-make recipe, all you will need is a block of cream cheese and a jar of marshmallow fluff. Mix the two ingredients together and serve it alongside your favorite fruits. Strawberries, pineapple, and bananas are some of our favorites. If you’re worried about the bananas browning too quickly, a spritz of lemon juice will do the trick.

  1. Fruit & Cheese Kabobs

At a potluck, it’s a lot easier when someone can grab and go with the food, and these kabobs are perfect for doing just that. Buy some skewers, grapes, strawberries, and cubed cheddar cheese, and assemble these bad boys for a quick and easy dish to bring. You can change up the fruits and cheeses to your liking, but overall, they will be a hit with easy cleanup.

  1. No-Bake Cheesecake

If you’re in charge of bringing dessert this year, a no-bake cheesecake will be easy and delicious. In any local grocery store, you can find Philadelphia’s No Bake Original Cheesecake Filling. With the filling taken care of, all you will need is an already made pie crust, frozen strawberries, and Cool Whip. Assemble your cheesecake and keep it chilled until it’s time to serve.

  1. Caprese Salad

This one is also super simple and can be patterned to look just like a peppermint candy cane. Slice some fresh mozzarella and red tomatoes into thin slices. Then, place them on your tray, alternating between tomatoes and mozzarella slices, and shaping them into a candy cane. Mix together olive oil and balsamic vinegar and drizzle it on top.
