Father’s Day is June 19. Here is a roundup of fun events to enjoy with Dad this Father’s Day weekend. From outdoor festivals, horse races and live music, to comics and classic cars, there’s something for every dad.

23rd Annual Colorado BBQ Challenge

June 17-18, 2016

Time: Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Location: Frisco

Cost: free, tickets can be purchased for food

Head to the high-country and treat Dad to a BBQ feast from over 70 of Colorado’s top BBQers. Enjoy live music, pig races and kids” activities, too. No pets allowed.

Arabian Horse Day

June 18, 2016

Time: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Location: Arapahoe Park

Cost: $15/adult, $7.50/child (includes lunch)

Take Dad to the racetrack for a day of equestrian fun and enjoy a Father’s Day lunch, tours of the racetrack and horses, plus raffle drawings, youth activities and horse races.

Juneteenth Music Festival

June 18, 2016

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Location: Five Points

Cost: free

Music-loving dads can enjoy live performances, plus art and cultural displays in celebration of freedom. The event also features a parade, food vendors, an Urban Car Show and a Youth Engagement Zone for kids.
