As Colorado’s ski areas prepare to welcome families for a winter on the slopes, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders around the state are invited to register for their turn with a Colorado Ski Country USA Passport.

The Passport Program has provided Colorado youth deeply discounted access to skiing and snowboarding at 21 area resorts, reducing a cost barrier to trying out the sports.

Here’s what families need to know for the 2021-2022 season:

• Registration is open while supplies last.
• Passports may not be used the weekend of Thanksgiving, over winter break (December 25 to January 1), Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, or on Presidents Day weekend.
• This season, the Passport gives kids access to 84 days of skiing and riding at 21 participating resorts for $59.
• Some ski areas may require reservations (either for the entire season or during peak periods).

Resorts may have varying COVID-19 restrictions, but the snow-blanketed slopes themselves provide an exciting socially-distant outing to share with the family.
