Seussian Products for Seuss-Loving Kids

Give a big shout, a “hip-hip-hooray!” March second is Dr. Seuss’ birthday. We simply could not, would not want to miss, a literary celebration such as this. So, here are some favorite Seussian finds, to share with the kids and inspire their minds.

1. Have a Seuss-inspired mealtime with Bumkins’ Dr. Seuss plates and bibs. Bright and colorful, they feature characters from classic books such as One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, The Cat in the Hat, and Green Eggs and Ham. $7-$17. 

2. Bedtime stories wouldn’t be complete without a cozy set of PJs to snuggle in. Hanna Andersson’s Dr. Seuss pajamas for kids are as soft as they are cute. Made of organic cotton, the pajamas feature favorite characters from Dr. Seuss’ books in different colors and designs. $42-$48, available from 0-3 months up to size 14-16.

3. Kids can re-create the story of The Cat in the Hat with plush toys from Manhattan Toy’s Dr. Seuss collection. Have a little Seuss-inspired fun with the crazy blue-haired duo, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and don’t forget the Cat in the Hat himself—he’s available in different sizes for kids of all ages, as well as in hand puppet form. $16-$34.

4. Venture into the world of Dr. Seuss with a board book adaptation of Happy Birthday to You! by Dr. Seuss (Random House Books for Young Readers, 2017). This version is easy to read, featuring shortened text and more than 60 flaps. Another great option for young readers is Dr. Seuss’s 100 First Words by Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P. (Random House Books for Young Readers, currently available for preorder, May 2018). The board book introduces babies and toddlers to Dr. Seuss through illustrations from his most beloved books. $9-$12.
