Denver’s yearly Unicorn Festival celebrates the magic of these fantastical creatures, which are popping up more and more in children’s books, clothing, and bedroom decor. Let your child’s imagination run wild with these fun unicorn experiences, activities, and goodies.

Unicorn Festival

In its third year, Denver’s Unicorn Festival is a two-day adventure filled with unicorn photo opportunities, a gigantic inflatable castle maze, a black mini pegasus, kid-friendly karaoke, and shows like The Handsome Little Devils—a Vaudevillian circus arts performance. Co-founder Dana Cain loves that the magical festival takes people exactly where they want to be—their happy place. June 22-23. Clement Park, Littleton. Tickets range from $15-$20.

Room Decor

Let unicorns light the way in your child’s room with unicorn string lights, joining together a rainbow of 10 unicorns. Or banish bad dreams with a unicorn night-light, which has a rainbow-colored mane that lights up in different colors. Available at Timbuk Toys.

Birthday Parties

At My Party Spa’s Unicorn Party, girls are treated to a fluffy robe and slippers before being pampered with a colorful unicorn hairstyle, face paint and makeup, a game, a craft, and two unicorn-theme hosts. Manicures and pedicures are available as add-ons. Parties take place at the birthday child’s house or a venue of their choice. Parties are $390 for up to five children, $50 for each additional child.

Little Princess Spa’s two-hour Unicorn Package pampers kids in unicorn style. Choose from three unicorn-inspired services: rainbow glitter hairdo, colorful makeup, or a colorful mini manicure. A unicorn host makes an appearance at the party, with a unicorn storytime. The spa package includes a candy buffet, a spa robe to wear during the party, crafts, and a dress-up show with costumes provided. $750 for up to 10 girls (includes set up and clean up), each additional guest is $30.

Uni-Treats

Make unicorns the spotlight of a party with Voodoo Doughnut’s imaginative unicorn doughnut centerpiece. Choose any two of their Voodoo dozens, vegan dozens, or classic dozens to accompany the unicorn doughnut. A vegan unicorn centerpiece is also available.

Clothing

Vail-based online retailer Skipper and Scout offers magical children’s clothing options. Choose from a pink long-sleeve ruffle shirt that shows you’re part unicorn, a unicorn cross body bag, a unicorn tank, or unicorn tutu onesie.

Kids can become a unicorn with a unicorn dress-up set that comes with a silver-horned headband and tutu complete with pink roses, available at Timbuk Toys. The store also carries unicorn wings from Little Adventures, so kids can practice their unicorn skills.

Unicorn attire isn’t just for the girls. Target offers a short-sleeve graphic T-Shirt adorned with a cool unicorn, who wears sunglasses, a jacket, and a colorful mane for $5.

Sophie Johnson, Unicorn Expert tells the story of a young unicorn expert that dresses up her toys, stuffed animals, and even her baby brother as unicorns. This colorful children’s book celebrates the magic of a young girl’s imagination.

Bounce House

Enter a magical, fantasy world by bouncing in Big Air’s Unicorn Bouncer. The Unicorn Bouncer has over 210 square feet of open bounce space, adorned with a fantastical blue unicorn. The uni-tastic bouncer holds up to 10 kids, not to exceed 1,000 pounds. $215 for six hours for set up, tear down, and delivery.

Skin Care

Honestly Margo crafts unicorn fizzy bath dust, magical body wash, and body lotion with a signature fruity dreamsicle scent, promising to induce unicorn dreams. The products are made with natural and organic ingredients, and they’re cruelty-free, so no testing on animals, especially unicorns. Sold locally at Wish Gifts and Talulah Jones, and online.
