Welcome to the NEW!

With an updated look and new features, our website is more engaging and easier to navigate.

If you’ve visited over the past couple weeks, you likely noticed a big change. Just after the New Year, our dream of a better digital experience for our readers finally came to fruition as we quietly unveiled the new and improved

At first glance, you’ll notice our new look. It’s fresh, it’s organized, and it features more impactful visuals. But looks only take you so far. Click around, look deeper, and you’ll discover a far more valuable change: improved functionality to enhance your experience. If you haven’t been to lately, take a tour!

Fresh New Look

We know your time is precious. The new site’s larger images, reduced clutter, and improved navigation create an easier reading experience. Every article is laid out as a single page, with seamless integration of photography and better overall organization.

Rich Calendar Searches

Since 1986, parents in Denver and beyond have looked to Colorado Parent’s award-winning Calendar of Events for ideas to keep the kids busy and enrich family time. The new calendar search allows you to search hundreds of family-friendly events by date, timeframe (this weekend, this week, next month, and more) or category.

Resources at Your Fingertips

It’s now easier than ever to find local camps, schools, doctors, or dentists using Colorado Parent’s online directories.

Focus on the Content

We’ve reorganized content to make it easy for you to quickly find topics that personally interest you. The layout, which was designed in-house by creative services director Kent Odendahl, is simple and allows ample opportunities for us to develop new, innovative features in the future. Digital developer Scott Cropper moved all our content from our previous platform to WordPress, which has allowed us to create a consistent look and feel, while also making the site faster, more reliable, and easier to navigate.

Exciting Mobile Experience

With an updated look and streamlined platform, the new site is faster and easier to navigate on any device. A richer mobile experience allows you to enjoy the same great articles, find events, and explore directories on the go. Try it on your tablet or smartphone.

The Best Part

This is just the beginning. We’re already working on developing new features that will continue to improve the experience. And we’re eager to hear your feedback. Please contact us at with any questions, concerns, or compliments, and we’ll be happy to reply.
